Mother Liquor Treatment System Project – UF + NF Recovery System
Deepflow supplied a “Ultrafiltration + Nanofiltration” mother liquor recovery system for a manganese tetroxide manufacturer.
The plant treats 60 tons/day, achieving a ≥90% water recovery rate, with NH₄⁺ and Cl⁻ recovery ≥88%, enabling resource reuse and near-zero liquid discharge (ZLD).
The system was engineered specifically for treating high-salinity mother liquor from manganese tetroxide production, with feed conductivity up to 45,000 μS/cm.
It combines PVDF ultrafiltration membranes with DOW polyamide nanofiltration modules, supported by automatic backwash and chemical cleaning systems for fully unmanned operation.
Key components feature top-tier international brands:
· Siemens S7-1200 PLC and Schneider Electric control hardware
· Industrial-grade pumps from NanFang / Wolong
· Instrumentation by WIKA, KROHNE, and MEIYI
Thanks to Deepflow’s modular skid design, the system was rapidly installed and commissioned on site. It delivers high automation, low operational cost, and strong process stability—enabling efficient salt and ammonia recovery while supporting zero-liquid-discharge goals.
Technical Highlights
·Dual-membrane UF + NF process with ≥90% water recovery
·DOW NF membranes & PVDF UF elements resistant to high salinity and alkalinity
·PLC + HMI automated control with remote monitoring capability
·Integrated backwash and CIP modules extending membrane lifespan
·Modular skid-mounted design for short construction and easy maintenance
